A healthy overall diet will help keep the doc away. Apples have some health benefits but can’t make up for a generally unhealthy diet. The amount of benefit from apples depends on the color. The darker, deeper colored apples have more phytonutrients and thus more health benefits than lighter colored ones. If you like apples go ahead and enjoy, but don’t feel like your health depends on it. There are plenty of other fruits with equal or greater health benefits.
