What Is Osteopathy?
What is Osteo? Or should we say what is Osteopathy? Osteopathy is a hands on form of treatment for the whole body including muscles, bones, joints and all other tissues including your organs and nervous system. We often combine our treatment to involve work on all of these areas as they are all interconnected.
A little bit about the Osteopathic approach: It is unique as it looks at the body as a single unit therefore not just focusing on the site of pain that you come in with but looking at where in the body the problem might actually have started.
We call this a whole body approach, Osteoapthy is very holistic.
In Australia, Osteopaths require a minimum of five years of training at university level, attaining a Bachelor and/or a Masters Degree in Osteopathic medicine to ensure you are in great hands.
